Upper-Schoolers Set to Perform First Musical in Three Years

UPDATE: After a successful opening night on April 28, the remaining two shows of "MAMMA MIA!" have been postponed due to illness. New Additions to Technology and College Counseling

Head of School Melissa Soderberg recently announced that alumnus Brent Halsey ’02 will return to his alma mater as Columbus Academy’s new Director of Technology and Academy parent Karla Crucke will begin transitioning this spring into the role of Assistant Director of College Counseling.

In May, Brent will begin to take over the reins from his former mentor Sean Cullinan, who will leave in June after working in and leading the school’s technology…

Athletics Department Announces Pair of New Hires

Director of Athletics Jason Singleton announced two high-profile hirings in his department today: Jacque DeMarco will be our new Assistant Director of Athletics for Middle and Upper School Sports and Columbus Academy’s varsity field hockey head coach, and Brian Stutzman has been promoted to varsity head coach within our girls soccer program.

Carter and Walker Inducted into Athletic Hall of Fame

The Columbus Academy Athletic Hall of Fame added two new members on the evening of Saturday, February 5, 2022, as Ed Carter ’96 and Katie Walker ’02 became the 44th and 45th inductees, respectively.

Remembering an Academy Superstar

“My favorite memories of all are of standing in the theatre lobby after a show and seeing the pride and joy on the faces of the cast and crew as they greeted their friends and families.” That was a quote from the late Susan Neal, so it is fitting that the area outside our Schoedinger Theatre is now named in her honor.
