Tyler Gittins began his first year teaching biology in the upper school at Columbus Academy at the start of the 2023-24 school year. He is also involved with coaching for our cross country and track & field teams. Tyler, a graduate in the Academy Class of 2013, returned to campus after three years teaching at Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School in Georgia. He obtained a B.A. from Wittenberg University where he was an NCAA Division III All-American in track & field for the Tigers. Tyler was also a 12-season athlete in his time at Academy and a two-time state champion with our boys track & field squad, having been a part of the 2012 and 2013 title-winning 4x400 relay teams.
