Remembering George N. Corey
The Columbus Academy Golf Outing is an event held to honor former Board of Trustees President George Corey's memory and to raise funds benefiting financial aid. George was a successful family man, longtime partner at Vorys, Sater Seymour and Pease LLP, and community servant active on many community boards over the course of his career.
Father to alumnus Michael '01, George was actively involved at Columbus Academy from the day his son matriculated in 1988, but his service culminated as president of the Board of Trustees, which he steered with a keen sense of direction, but a light hand on the rudder. Scholarship dollars had made his college education possible, and the school could not honor George's legacy any better than through this event raising scholarship dollars for future Academy graduates.
