Biography

April Mealick joined Columbus Academy in 2020 in the CASE program and as a substitute teacher in several Early Childhood classrooms. In 2021, April became a PreK lead teacher. Prior to Academy, April taught kindergarten for 10 years at North Fork Local Schools. She is a graduate of Ohio University with a bachelor's degree in early childhood education and holds a master's degree in elementary reading and literacy. April and her husband Chris have two children, Cayden '27 and Adalyn '35, who both attend Academy. Outside of teaching, April enjoys reading by the pool, listening to Taylor Swift and spending time exploring Columbus with her family.
