Craig Yakscoe has worked at Columbus Academy since 1988 and currently teaches physical education and aquatics. He also leads our varsity boys golf team and is head coach of our varsity swim and dive teams. At the helm of the boys golf program, Craig has steered the team to back-to-back state titles (2019, 2018), along with being a three-time district coach of the year and one-time This Week News coach of the year honoree. He has also earned several district coach of the year accolades with our Aquavikes. Outside of his main duties, Craig also supervises the service board’s student-led blood drives and is involved with the student safety and faculty pit crew committees. Craig previously spent time teaching middle and upper school health and physical education classes, and has coached several different sports on campus. Craig and his wife, Cyndi, who is a lower school reading specialist, have a son, Drew ’10 who currently lives in Cincinnati, and a daughter, Mandy ’13 who resides in Portland, Oregon.
