Kim Downey became a lead second grade teacher in 2020 after serving as a second grade associate at Columbus Academy since 2014. She is also Second Grade Team Leader. Prior to joining Academy, Kim worked at New Albany Montessori School for four years. She obtained a B.S. in elementary education and a M.Ed., both from The Ohio State University. Kim and her husband, Craig, enjoy spending time with their five children (Joey, Hannah, Josh, Will, and Tyler), their cat, Walker, and their black lab, Sadie. They also enjoy traveling to the beach in Emerald Isle, NC, and anywhere west of the Mississippi River, but they are particularly fond of Colorado, Wyoming and Montana.
