Jennifer Thompson began teaching at Columbus Academy in 1991 and is currently a second grade lead teacher. She is also involved with the leadership team and has previously taught PreK, kindergarten, grades 1-2 and fourth grade on campus. She is a graduate of Wittenberg University with a B.A., along with a M.A. in reading from the University of Dayton. Jennifer has three sons: Jamie ’16, David ’19 and Andrew ’22, and their father, Mark, was an Academy graduate in the Class of 1978.

“I love that it is PK-12 because all the kids interact through divisions and we are able to see them grow from young children to young adults as a teacher and parent. The CA family and community provide a wonderful support system.”

“We have a pet bunny that hops throughout the house.”
Favorite sports teams
“I have attended countless lacrosse and soccer games over the years watching my two older boys play. I am now enjoying watching Andrew participate in swimming and tennis. All three boys are and have been very active in the sports programs and arts programs.”
