Claire Thompson has taught physical education in the Lower and Middle School at Columbus Academy since 2021 and is entering her 16th year of teaching overall. She is involved in Viking athletics coaching JV girls golf and middle school girls basketball. A native of Northeast Ohio, Claire holds a B.A. in physical education from Ohio Wesleyan University and a M.S. from Canisius College. In her time at OWU, Claire was a successful and decorated student-athlete setting many softball pitching school and league records, some that even stand to this day. She enjoys attending and coaching her children in youth athletics, reading historical fiction, listening to and making music, and spending time at the lake or cabin with her family. Claire and her husband Adam have four children: Hayden, Austin, Maddy '31, and Ellery.
