Becky Barger-Amato began her role as Advancement Services Coordinator in the Columbus Academy Development Office in September 2020. She previously served four years as Development Operations Coordinator at Mid-Ohio Foodbank, and three years at the Ohio Association of Foodbanks as an AmeriCorps VISTA. She holds a B.A. in theatre studies from Capital University. Becky and her husband Tony have four dogs and two cats, of which her favorite "fur child" is four-year-old Sydney.

"I am a musician and love to try any instrument I can get my hands on but clarinet and euphonium are my main two, I also have a degree in theatre, so I am a freelance stage manager and sound engineer for a variety of local Columbus Theatres."
