Alumni Networking Reception
Join us for the Alumni Networking Reception on Thursday, May 2, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Columbus Academy Dining Hall, where Rachel Carpenter '01 will be honored with the 2019 Young Alumni Award.
The event also features an expert panel who will discuss designing the digital customer experience as well as share their professional insights and advice for career success. Guest speakers include Rachel Carpenter '01, Global Head of Insights and Design Strategy, Citi; Ricky Joshi '97 Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer, Saatva; and Ryan Williams '08, Co-Founder and President, Jopwell. The panel will be moderated by Chelsea Clements '05, Website Performance Marketing Manager for Green Growth Brands.

All Day 4 CA is back April 4-5
Vikings, get ready for the return of All Day 4 CA -- a day
when all Academy alumni, families and friends come
together to show their Viking pride and support. This 25-
hour day of giving will launch on Thursday, April 4, at
10:00 a.m. ET with an initial match pool that will double
each dollar donated. Be All In 4 CA or show what you are
All In for: Arts, Athletics, Curricular Innovation, Faculty or
Financial Aid. Watch your inbox for more details about how

2018-19 Annual Fund.

Calling All Graduation Dresses
Are you ready to part with that graduation dress? The CA Graduation Dress Program is in need of additional dresses! This program (started many years ago by a few CA moms) makes previously worn dresses available to current seniors. If you have a dress that is ready for another walk across that Commencement stage, please contact Janet Fireman and Beckie Hoagland in the Nurses Office at nurse@columbusacademy.org OR you may bring your dress to the front desk in Academy Hall.

Alumni Weekend 2019
All alumni are invited to attend Alumni Weekend, featuring reunion classes ending in 4 and 9, which will be held on
September 20-21, 2019. Alumni Weekend begins with a football game on Friday, CA community day (including sporting events and a mud run) and alumni-specific programming (think campus tours, mini-classes with beloved faculty members, junior speeches and more) on Saturday, and wrapping up with
reunion class gatherings
. A detailed schedule will be announced in the upcoming months but mark your calendars now!

The 11th Annual Columbus Academy Golf Outing will take place on Monday,

, with a 1:00 p.m. shotgun start at Columbus Country Club. The golf outing is designed to benefit financial aid in memory of

School News
In this year's Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, 22 upper-schoolers from Columbus Academy had works recognized, including Gold Keys earned by senior Gunnar Geiger and junior Ryan Hunker! Silver Keys were awarded to seniors Keenan Bellisari, Sidney Derzon and Kayla Podgurski, juniors Shaan Arora, Sarah Edwards and Ellie Jeffers and sophomores Layton Harding and Cooper Schnitzer. Sarah and Layton also garnered Honorable Mentions along with seniors Jacob Beck, Paul Hansen, Mary Hatcher, Malcolm Klingbeil, Sophia Tidwell and Cole Walker, juniors Noelle Boltz, Riley Hennessy and Sarah Neltner, and sophomores Tsega Seleshi and Bea Sull.

Sports News
On February 13, Columbus Academy celebrated nine more seniors who were recruited and have committed to continue their academic and athletic careers on the collegiate level: Chris Boyle (football, Brown University), Deven Cobb (football, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology), Samantha Kass (swimming, Emory University), Malcolm Klingbeil (lacrosse, Bates College), Lexi Leader (lacrosse, University of Colorado), Liam McCann (cross country & track, Allegheny College), Harry Mills (track & field, Washington University in St. Louis), Dorrian Moultrie (football, Georgetown University) and Nick Rothmann (baseball, Ohio Northern University)!

Academy's boys basketball team won its fifth-straight sectional title over the weekend by defeating Wellington 77-73. Our fourth-seeded Vikes (19-4) take on #7 seed Africentric (13-10) tonight with the winner advancing to Friday night's district finals likely against top seed Harvest Prep (

). Last month, Coach Jeff Warstler's squad claimed it's first MSL-Ohio crown since 2012 and first outright league title since 2008 by beating Whitehall 67-50 on Senior Night.
